E3 2016: Berserk Game Revealed

The creators of the Musou (Warriors) series, Omega Force, is developing a new game with the working title Berserk, based on a Manga of the same name.

The game is set to release this year in Japan on the PS3, PS4 and PlayStation Vita. KOEI Tecmo Europe and KOEI Tecmo America have confirmed there will be a Western release on the PS4, PS Vita, and PC on Steam as well. It should be noted that the American version of the game will not be on the PS3. Although the PS3 is region free and so gamers that want the game, but only have a PS3, should be able to get a Japanese version of the game if they so choose.

Omega Force is a subsidiary of KOEI Tecmo, and it develops KOEI Tecmo’s Musou (Warriors) series of games. KOEI released the first Sangoku Musou (Dynasty Warriors) game back in 1997 for the PlayStation as a spinoff of its Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategy game franchise.

Berserk is also going to be made into a new television anime that will premiere on July 1. Miura is also continuing to make the manga on June 24 as a monthly series. You can watch a teaser trailer for the game above.
