EA Play was host to the announcement that more games like Unravel will be coming from EA in the form of their EA Originals initiative. The first game will be called Fe and is intended to be a showcase for what the EA Original program is all about.
You play as a young cub travelling through the forest, learning new languages and songs that unlock ways to get deeper into the forest. The enemies in the game will be The Silent, who I assume are your enemy because they cannot sing.
Gameplay of the game was shown that highlights its 3D platforming and wonderfully unique artstyle. With vector-like sketches, and a heavy use of blues and reds, the game is already captivating aesthetically. However, it also looks to be a cute narrative that will give players a very unique experience.
The small team in Gothenburg, Sweden will be the first to join the EA Originals program. Their game Fe deals with a “personal narrative about our relationship with nature” and how “everything in this world is connected, living under a delicate balance that is constantly under threat.”
With the EA Originals program, the intent is to have all the profits go into the pockets of the developers. Hopefully we will hear more about this initiative as E3 2016 continues and we get closer to the release of Fe.
