During the Microsoft E3 press conference they showed a couple of trailers for Halo Wars 2. One of which showed us that the game will be releasing in February of next year.
The crew of the UNCF Spirit of Fire have awoken and will be going head-to-head with an all new enemy called the Banished – a fierce and powerful Brute faction, lead by a great and powerful warlord known as Atriox. The events of this game will take place in the chaotic state of the Halo universe directly after the events of Halo 5: Guardians.
Microsoft also announced the online beta of the game is able to be signed up for and start playing from June 13th (today) to the 20th, however you will only be able to take part in the beta on the Xbox One. So if you are interested in trying it out, you might want to sign up right away. Above is a quick video showing off a little of the online gameplay for Halo Wars 2. For the most part it looks much like it did in the first game, but with nicer graphics.
Halo Wars 2 is set to release on February 21, 2017.
