E3 2016: New Injustice 2 Screenshots and Gameplay Emerge

Injustice 2

We’ve already covered the reveal trailer for Injustice 2 when it was announced a week ago by NetherRealm Studios. There was then a gameplay trailer that premiered during the Mortal Kombat X Pro League Finals for Season 3 of the championship series. As if that wasn’t enough, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a handful of new screenshots to continue teasing the 2017 release of Injustice 2. You can check out those screenshots below:

Injustice 2 will be the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us from 2013, which featured characters from the DC Comics universe fighting. IGN has also revealed direct-feed gameplay of the new game that is fifteen minutes long and showcases the new characters fighting against each other. You also get a look at the character interactions specific to certain match ups, and an extended look at some of the characters’ super moves.

The game once again looks gorgeous and it’s great to see some of the special moves certain characters will be able to utilize. It also seems like there will be plenty of gear to attain from fights, even if you lose the fight. I for one am extremely excited to see how the gear works as they do have increases to characters’ stats and also seem to be able to be matched with other pieces of armor. Also, how cool are all the characters going to look? My guess is pretty damn cool.
