E3 2016: Stardew Valley Coming to Consoles this Holiday

It was announced at E3 that Stardew Valley will be coming to consoles this Holiday season. This shouldn’t be too surprising as it was a huge success on PC.

Stardew Valley is a Harvest Moon-style game that was shown off in a montage of games at the Microsoft E3 press conference. The game is an indie farming simulation video game developed by ConcernedApe and published by Chucklefish Games. The game was released for PC in February of this year via Steam.

In the game, you become owner of your grandpa’s farm and have nothing but a few dollars and some hand-me-down tools to keep the farm operational. It is the chance to breathe new life into an old farm. There is more to the game than just farming, with a town of NPCs to talk to and do business with, a place to go fishing, and areas to explore.

Stardew Valley will release in Q4 of this year, which means it should be hitting somewhere between October and December time. It will be coming to PS4, Wii U and Xbox One. It most likely will not be coming to handheld devices anytime soon, if at all.
