E3 2016: Ubisoft shows new VR Star Trek: Bridge Crew

<p>Ubisoft today showed off that they are making the first ever <em>Star Trek<&sol;em> VR game&comma; called <em>Star Trek&colon; Bridge Crew<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><amp-youtube layout&equals;"responsive" width&equals;"500" height&equals;"281" data-videoid&equals;"romB8e5nMp8" title&equals;"Star Trek&colon; Bridge Crew Trailer - VR Game Reveal with Star Trek Alums - E3 2016 &lbrack;NA&rsqb;"><a placeholder href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;watch&quest;v&equals;romB8e5nMp8"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;i&period;ytimg&period;com&sol;vi&sol;romB8e5nMp8&sol;hqdefault&period;jpg" layout&equals;"fill" object-fit&equals;"cover" alt&equals;"Star Trek&colon; Bridge Crew Trailer - VR Game Reveal with Star Trek Alums - E3 2016 &lbrack;NA&rsqb;"><&sol;a><&sol;amp-youtube><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>During a demo for <em>Star Trek&colon; Bridge Crew<&sol;em>&comma; we got to see some stars from a couple TV shows and the newer movies in the series take a seat and actually try to handle their roles on the starship Aegis in this new VR simulator of <em>Star Trek<&sol;em>&period; Levar Burton&comma; Karl Urban and Jeri Ryan all put on the goggles and had to work together to fly the massive ship&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Everyone has their own job to do and if one makes a mistake&comma; it could spell doom for everyone&period; The game takes a lot of team work and good communication to be able to do everything that needs to be done to ensure the survival of the crew&period; It looks like what every hardcore Trek fan has always wanted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game does take place in the J&period;J&period; Abrams movie universe&comma; which is most likely the reason gamers are not manning the USS Enterprise&period; However&comma; we don&&num;8217&semi;t know when in the timeline the game takes place&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Star Trek&colon; Bridge Crew<&sol;em> will be releasing this fall and will be supporting the Oculus Rift&comma; HTC Vive&comma; and the PlayStation VR&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Ubisoft E3 Press Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
