E3 2016: We Happy Few Gameplay Showcased

<p>Today during the Microsoft press conference&comma; a new game called <em>We Happy Few<&sol;em> was shown off&period; The game was announced previously&comma; and is being developed by Compulsion games&comma; who previously worked on <em>Contrast<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><amp-youtube layout&equals;"responsive" width&equals;"500" height&equals;"281" data-videoid&equals;"zhb0h5g7i-I" title&equals;"We Happy Few Gameplay - Xbox E3 2016"><a placeholder href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;watch&quest;v&equals;zhb0h5g7i-I"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;i&period;ytimg&period;com&sol;vi&sol;zhb0h5g7i-I&sol;hqdefault&period;jpg" layout&equals;"fill" object-fit&equals;"cover" alt&equals;"We Happy Few Gameplay - Xbox E3 2016"><&sol;a><&sol;amp-youtube><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game will be part of Microsoft&&num;8217&semi;s Xbox Game Preview program&comma; which is just their fancy way of saying early access&period; Going by the preview we got to see&comma; <em>We Happy Few<&sol;em> looks artistically a lot like the same style used for <em>Bioshock Infinite<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>You take on the role of Arthur Hastings&comma; who apparently works in the printing press for newspapers putting papers in pneumatic tubes&period; When something comes across your desk that instantly makes him start to question everything&comma; including a drug that everyone seemingly is ordered to take called &&num;8220&semi;joy&period;&&num;8221&semi; After he is interrupted&comma; he starts walking down the hall where everything is not like it seems as offices are ransacked and we see someone injecting someone else with&&num;8230&semi; something&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Arthur starts asking himself dangerous questions such as if the canister wonders what life is like outside of the tubes&period; We then get to see a number of people beating a pinata that is sitting on the table&period; Arthur finally takes part and that is when it is revealed to be a rat or something&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It is then that they realize he is off his drugs and start calling him a &&num;8220&semi;downer&&num;8221&semi; and call for the guards&period; Arthur is then chased by the guards and the trailer ends with him being assuredly knocked out&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>We Happy Few<&sol;em> is releasing on Xbox Game Previews on July 26&period; You can check out the trailer above for a closer look&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Microsoft E3 Press Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
