E3 2017: Life is Strange: Before the Storm is Coming This Summer

<p>Episodic adventure games have become very popular over the last few years&comma; thanks in particular to Telltale Games&&num;8217&semi; various series&period; While Telltale has done well with these adventure games&comma; others have taken to the formula&comma; one in particular being sleeper hit <em>Life is Strange<&sol;em>&comma; from developers DONTNOD and published by Square Enix&period; During the Microsoft E3 press conference&comma; the prequel to the game&comma; <em>Life is Strange&colon; Before the Storm<&sol;em> was unveiled&comma; and will be coming on August 31&comma; in a matter of months&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;AvwDNGjEp7A" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game is set 3 years before the first game&comma; and will focus on the friendship between Rachel Amber and Chloe Price&period; Chloe is well known to fans of the series as the best friend of original protagonist Max&comma; and her relationship with Rachel is often hinted at throughout the game&period; Hopefully in this three part episodic series players will learn more about Chloe&&num;8217&semi;s friendship with Rachel&comma; and what challenges the two of them faced&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Life is Strange&colon; Before the Storm<&sol;em> is looking to bring players back to Arcadia Bay&comma; with even more environments and characters&comma; adding more depth to the popular series&period; From the preview trailer&comma; there is shown some familiar environments such as the junkyard&comma; but also some new unvisited areas of Arcadia Bay&period; While DONTNOD&comma; out of Paris&comma; developed the first game&comma; this prequel is being handled by Denver-based&comma; Deck Nine Games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;126496" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-126496" style&equals;"width&colon; 1000px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;"size-large wp-image-126496" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;06&sol;12000946&sol;lifeisstrange11-1024x576&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1000" height&equals;"563" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-126496" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">Return to scenic Arcadia Bay&period; Life is Strange&comma; Square Enix<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>The first game did incredibly well for Square Enix&comma; and it&&num;8217&semi;s looking like they want to invest in the episodic format even further&comma; and are diving into the world of <em>Life is Strange<&sol;em>&period; The game will be available for PlayStation 4&comma; Xbox One&comma; and on PC&comma; but as was touted during the Xbox event&comma; it will be enhanced when played on the Xbox One X&period; Were you a fan of the first game&comma; are you interested to see where the relationship between Rachel and Chloe started&quest; Let us know below if you are ready to head back to Arcadia Bay&comma; in the comments below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Microsoft E3 Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
