E3 2017: Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite gets Story Demo and New Trailer

At Sony’s E3 Conference, Marvel fans got a two-for-one special this year. Not only did we get information on the new Spider-Man game, but we also received surprises about Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. In addition to an all-new trailer, it was revealed that a story demo for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite is now available, showing off its all-new story mode that feels more like a NetherRealm property than a Capcom one.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite will release on September 19th, but it was revealed today that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can now download a demo for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite’s story mode to experience it for themselves before the game launches. In Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, two worlds have collided, the world full of Capcom characters such as Dante, Mega Man, Strider Hiryu, and Chun-Li, as well as the Marvel Universe with Captain Marvel, Rocket Racoon, Gamora, and even Thanos himself. As a result of this, the villains Sigma and Ultron have fused into Ultron Sigma, and wish to conquer both universes, sending the heroes on a quest to uncover the Infinity Stones so they can combat this new threat.

In the trailer was also a reveal for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite’s deluxe edition which offers 6 DLC characters, and 6 premium costumes. Black Panther is featured as one of these DLC characters, but no word has been given on pricing or availability of this deluxe edition. There was something incredibly exciting about seeing Rocket Raccoon and Dante gushing over their love of guns, and even Captain Marvel and Nova lamenting the annoyance of ninjas.

The reveals from this year’s conference have me even more excited for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, and I can’t wait to see just how deep and engaging the new story mode gets. It is nice to see Capcom taking a page out of NetherRealm’s book, considering how well received Injustice and Injustice 2 have been.
