E3 2017: In the Name of the Tsar Expansion Details Revealed for Battlefield 1

<p>EA Play’s conference kicked off the E3 2017 experience earlier today&comma; and with it many fans of EA titles got exclusive never-before-seen details on upcoming games and content&period; <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em> players&comma; in particular&comma; received new information on the upcoming expansion entitled <em>In the Name of the Tsar<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;O3zza3ofZ0Q" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>In the Name of the Tsar<&sol;em> will include new vehicles&comma; six new maps&comma; a new &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Supply Drop” mode&comma; and 11 new weapons&period; As the expansion’s title implies&comma; you will take on the role of the Russian army in a variety of combat scenarios and conditions&period; Interestingly enough&comma; this new expansion to <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em> will allow you to play as the Women’s Battalion of Death&comma; which will be the first time in franchise history that you will have the opportunity to play as a female character&period; I personally think this is a brilliant concept&comma; as the popularity of female protagonists has only grown over time &lpar;look at the success of <em>Wonder Woman<&sol;em>&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In addition&comma; EA has stated that <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em> will also feature monthly updates including &lpar;but not limited to&rpar; new maps and events&period; Two maps will launch this summer for <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em>&comma; while premium pass owners will have two additional maps from the <em>They Shall Not Pass<&sol;em> expansion coming as well&period; The two maps exclusive for premium pass members are Nivelle Nights &lpar;which releases in June&rpar; and Prise De Tahure &lpar;which releases in July&rpar; both of which will provide night-time map options&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>With the two upcoming maps for non-premium members and the six maps from <em>In the Name of the Tsar<&sol;em>&comma; this means that eight new maps will be available this summer &lpar;and ten if you have a premium pass&period;&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>DICE has also announced that they will be launching a &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;brand new competitive experience” for <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em> that they will provide details on when Gamescom rolls around later this year&period; With the <em>Turning Tides<&sol;em> expansion coming in December and the <em>Apocalypse<&sol;em> expansion coming in 2018&comma; <em>Battlefield 1<&sol;em> fans should have plenty to sink their teeth into over the coming months&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Stay tuned to BagoGames during E3 2017 for more coverage of the event and let us know in the comments below what you think of the new <em>Battlefield 1 <&sol;em>expansion&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; EA Play Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
