E3 2017: Need for Speed Payback Gameplay Shows Off High-Octane Action

<p><em>Need for Speed Payback <&sol;em>already <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;take-vengeance-need-speed-payback&sol;">had a slight reveal<&sol;a> last week when EA announced it prior to E3 2017&period; They teased back then that the game would feature at their EA Play event&comma; and they definitely didn&&num;8217&semi;t hold back&period; A gameplay trailer was released which shows precisely what I suspected&colon; a very <em>The Fast and the Furious<&sol;em>-inspired racing game&period; You can check out the explosive trailer below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;K-5EdHZ0hBs" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Need for Speed Payback<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s story follows Tyler&comma; Jess and Mac as they take on The House&period; The video above shows a set piece moment called The Highway Heist that involves players catching up to a truck while taking out other cars on the way&period; It ends with a very Dominic Toretto moment as Jess jumps onto the truck and then the truck explodes as she drives a car out of the back of the semi&period; And then its time to &&num;8220&semi;even the odds&&num;8221&semi; as Jess&comma; Tyler and Mac confront a police helicopter right before the trailer ends&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>That&&num;8217&semi;s a lot to take in for a series thats big moments were mostly geared towards gameplay-driven experiences&period; The thrill of being chased by cops and narrowly escaping is probably still present in <em>Payback <&sol;em>but it seems like the game&&num;8217&semi;s cinematic storytelling is going to be very prevalent in the gameplay too&period; There was a moment when the truck barreled through the highway in a cutscene which then had flaming debris when it cut back to the gameplay which seemed like a neat way to meld the two&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Need for Speed Payback <&sol;em>releases on November 10th&comma; 2017 for PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; and PC via Origin&period; Let us know in the comments below whether you&&num;8217&semi;re excited for the new direction the series is taking and stay tuned to BagoGames for more coverage of EA and the rest of E3 2017&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; EA Play Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
