E3 2017: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Releases This October

It’s time to join the Resistance as BJ Blazkowicz returns to America in 1961, ready to spark the American Revolution once again. That’s right, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the sequel to Machine Games’s surprise revival of the shooter franchise and it picks up after the events of The New Order. Announced at Bethesda’s E3 conference, the game will release on October 27th, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the full reveal trailer above for over 8 minutes of weird alternate history.

As BJ is about to welcome twins into the world, he is forced to confront the Nazi regime again after his assassination of General Deathshead. Except now the war is being taken back to America where BJ fights for freedom and the chance for a resistance to form against the Nazis. The trailer above starts off with a lot of weird, alternate history propaganda that you can’t help but smile at, but what makes Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus stand out is its continuation of making BJ Blazkowicz into a hell of a main character. The story seems to still be very character-focused, towing the line between absurdity and heart-wrenching.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Wolfenstein without a bunch of guns and carnage, so don’t worry there’s plenty of that. Weapons like the Laserkraftwerk, Dieselkraftwerk, and other future tech will give you the advantage over enemies. Or you can rely on the trusty pistol or hatchet to take out your enemies. The game promises an upgrade system (likely similar to the original), and you’ll be able to dual-wield guns once again. Different playstyles and upgrades will have you killing Nazis in whatever way you wish.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned to BagoGames for more coverage of E3 2017 as announcements are made.
