E3 Might Move to New Location for Next Conference

As stated by the L.A. Times, E3 may in fact be held somewhere other than the Los Angeles Convention Center next year, due to planned renovation work that may take place in the LACC. Mike Gallagher of the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) also stated “we have a number of issues that still need to be resolved. If we can’t resolve them, we are preparing to go elsewhere.”

Renovations may happen during the time of the next E3 conference and the ESA is none too pleased about that. The LACC apparently has plans to develop a stadium, Farmer’s Field, in the West Hall area of the convention center and there are concerns that renovation will affect the movement of crowds during the next E3.

Apparently, “executives close to the association” have hinted that possible locations for upcoming E3 events could be Chicago, San Francisco, New York or New Orleans.
