EA have announced that numerous titles on Facebook will be closing down on the 14th June, even though players may have in-game cash still in hand.
The three games which are going to be closed down are SimCity Social, The Sims Social and Pet Society which are all developed by Playfish after they were bought for $300 million in 2009.
A recent FAQ posted on Playfish’s forums state that players are “encouraged” to spend in-game cash before the three games shut down. Could a more obvious sign be given?
