Frontier Developments have revealed that their upcoming space simulator Elite Dangerous will include multiple ship ownership. It’s a feature that has been very much in demand by fans. Those who pre-order the game’s Mercenary Edition for $50 (£35) will receive an additional Eagle fighter that will be docked in-game in a secondary location. The game’s larger space stations will have storage facilities where you can safely keep the ships you’re not using.

As well as the Eagle fighter, Elite Dangerous’ Mercenary Edition will also include some exclusive paint schemes, a guide and a digital concept art book plus more benefits to be announced in the future. Those who don’t pre-order will have to pay $60 (£35) for the regular edition.

Elite: Dangerous is releasing later this year for PC and Mac.
