Epic Games Purchases Bulletstorm Developer People Can Fly

<p>People Can Fly&comma; developer of <em>Bulletstorm<&sol;em>&comma; is now property of Epic Games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The move is indeed linked to three key members of PCF leaving the company&comma; those being Andrzej Poznanski&comma; Adrian Chmielarz and Michal Kosieradzki&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s being said though&comma; that their decision to part ways was done on friendly terms&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Mark Rein of Epic stated that their departure would not impact games currently in development&period; &&num;8220&semi;We doubled down on People Can Fly&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he stated&period; &&num;8220&semi;It was something we always hoped to do&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He continued&comma; &&num;8220&semi;We will be helping &lpar;Chmielarz&rpar; with some future announcements&period; Our paths will be crossing again&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Epic Games and People Can Fly first became acquainted when Chmielarz spoke to Epic Games regarding licensing related to the Unreal Engine&period; Epic were ultimately impressed with PCF&comma; providing money to the company who were a tad strapped for cash at the time&period; Stating of the move&comma; Rein remarked&comma; &&num;8220&semi;We hooked them up right away&period; They did a really cool prototype&comma; awesome art and design&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>PCF were then called in to handle <em>Gears of War<&sol;em> for the PC and after working on other<em> GoW<&sol;em> titles&comma; were asked to helm<em> Gears of War&colon; Judgment<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Despite key members of the PCF team leaving&comma; Rein reiterated that <em>Judgment<&sol;em> and other titles will be just fine&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;theverge&period;com&sol;gaming&sol;2012&sol;8&sol;13&sol;3239153&sol;epic-games-buys-people-can-fly">The Verge<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
