The Hot Shots Golf series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with the release of the next game in the franchise – Everybody’s Golf. On August 29th, the next entry in the series will arrive for PlayStation 4. The game will cost $39.99 USD when it launches near the end of the summer.
Everybody’s Golf will boast a lot of new features including heightened character customization, more online modes, and some new game types to play in the open world environment, such as fishing, buggy racing and treasure hunting. Expect the usual structure to the games though, with the same three-click shot mechanic that fans of the series have come to know and love. If you pre-order the game from the PlayStation Store, you’ll immediately receive a download for an Everybody’s Golf avatar. Then on launch day, players will get a special 20th anniversary course, two unique shirts, a rabbit mascot costume, a premium kart, and a dynamic theme for your PS4.
Trivia fans (or anyone who has any knowledge of Hot Shots Golf in other territories than North America) will recognize that Everybody’s Golf is the name of the series anywhere other than in NA. I grew up knowing the series as Hot Shots Golf but it is kind of cool to see them embrace the simpler name. I don’t think there is as much love for the Hots Shots Golf franchise here as there is in other regions, so it probably won’t hurt them too much.
