Lately, it might seem easier to name who hasn’t become an Amiibo in Nintendo’s legion of characters than who hasn’t. Thus far, Nintendo’s made over half of its Super Smash Bros. roster and then some into the virtually interactive figurines and the company’s will add even more to the collectible craze.
Courtesy of this morning’s Nintendo Direct, Smash Bros. godfather Masahiro Sakurai has announced that this September will mark the seventh wave of Amiibo to hit store shelves, which will include Falco, theDuck Hunt, R.O.B., and Mr Game & Watch that’ll come with several accessories for a variety of poses.
Gamers will also get a shot at owning some custom-made Mii Amiibo figurines, Nintendo’s revealed. The line will feature default bodies for the Fighter, Swordfighter, and Gunner, all of which are fully customizable in-game. and can wear any of the newly announced DLC costumes.
So who else is getting an Amiibo? Everyone.
If you didn’t guess it by now, Sakurai’s confirmed that every fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will eventually become available to own as an Amiibo in some shape or form. Mewtwo, Lucas, and the also-confirmed Roy and Ryu for Super Smash Bros. will all be getting their own figures at a later date.
Unfortunately for you hard-core collectors out there, Nintendo’s been silent on any chances of restocking hard-to-find Amiibo for North America beyond Marth.
