Bethesda have announced today that their up and coming horror title, The Evil Within, will be delayed until October this year.
Originally scheduled for an August release, the game will now hit the shelves in the US on October 21st, while Australian and European gamers will have to wait until the 23rd and 24th October, respectively.
According to The Evil Within publishers, “Shinji Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks have asked for additional time to further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create.”
Bethesda have also announced details of the pre-order incentive. Named The Fighting Chance Pack, it includes the following: a Medical Kit, a vital health enhancement that enables Sebastian to fight on, a Double Barrel Shotgun and Three Shells, Green Gel to upgrade Sebastian’s attributes, an Incendiary Agony Bolt that is capable of showering nearby enemies with damaging fire sparks and lastly a Poison Agony Bolt that draws enemies towards it and poisons them, allowing Sebastian to escape.
The Evil Within will be available to buy on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360 and PC.
