From the creators of the hit co-operative shooter Left 4 Dead, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have announced a release date for Evolve. The game is set to hit stores on October 21st of this year for the Xbox one, Ps4 and the PC.

Evolve is a team based shooter where players play together to complete a goal, similar to Left 4 Dead. These four players are known as hunters, who will hunt an opponent. The hunters, in traditional video game fashion will be broken into classes, the classes being a hunter, a medic, a support, and a trapper. The trapper, armed with harpoons and mobility restricting weapons, will be key to successes of the hunters who must work together to succeeded. While this sound exciting, especially to fans of Left 4 Dead, the real intrigue of the game lies in the one monster. The monster will be very powerful, will level up during the match, and will be controlled by another human player. The monster must survive long enough to kill all the hunters or complete a secondary objective, while the hunters must take down the monster. The hunters will be hunting in first person view, while the lone monster is in third person. Evolve is powered by CryEngine.
