With EA’s Andrew Wilson announced to be taking on the role of CEO last week, it would seem that the company is planning to make additional changes to its management structure that will take effect very soon.
According to Polygon, who cites multiple sources close to the situation, current executive vp of EA Games Patrick Söderlund will be the new head of EA Sports, while EA Labels president Frank Gibeau will be in charge of both EA’s Mobile Division and Origin. Wilson, the new CEO, was previously in charge or Origin and EA Sports.
The news of the changes is said to have come from EA’s company-wide meeting that took place earlier today. It is currently unknown if Gibeau will keep his current position or if someone else will take his place.
