Steve Papoutsis, the executive producer of Dead Space 3, has revealed that there are four additional modes to the game that are unlocked after you complete the main game for your first time.
The four modes are as follows:
- Hardcore Mode: You have one life for the entire game
- Classic Mode: Disables item crafting and all weapons need to be constructed from blueprints. There will also be no iron sights.
- Pure Survival Mode: Resources can only be gained from taking down enemies and picking them up meaning there is no ammo, health or weapon parts around the areas featured in the game.
- Game+ Mode: Start the game again with all of your upgrades and gear from your first play through
On top of this, Steve Papoutsis also revealed that “a top secret additional story will be coming in a few weeks”. Talk about getting your monies worth come the 8th February!
In an era where gamers accuse developers of over using paid DLC and locking the game away and selling a “key” through digital downloads this has got to win Dead Space 3 a round of applause at the bar minimum no? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
