F1 fans are looking to be getting a very detailed game when F1 2016 releases this summer. Codemasters have revealed that the next entry in the popular racing franchise will have a career mode that spans over a decade and offers an extremely immersive experience which is sure to please fans of Formula One. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out some early screenshots for the game below:

One of the big new features that will add to the immersion of the game is the inclusion of the Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car. Also on the docket is the new Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan, which you can get a slight preview of the real-life course in a video released by Formula One, below. The circuit is being regarded as the fastest in the 2016 season.

A new “deep practice development programme” will have players experiencing the same kind of regiment that F1 teams contend with when preparing for the Grand Prix weekend. Hospitality areas will also exist in the game, complete with full-voiced and captured figures that will help you when you’re spending time in the game’s hub world. You will also be able to upgrade your car with Research and Development credits that transfer over from all your sessions.

As someone who really enjoys Formula One, this seems like a pretty exciting time for me to finally give the new F1 games a shot. I’ve been holding out to get one on the current generation of consoles, but this looks to be a pretty good year for the series. The new game has the potential to offer the most immersive experience Formula One fans will get in a video game, so I look forward to this summer.
