Update 1.4 for Fallout 4 is currently in beta on Steam. The update encompasses support for upcoming add-ons and, as usual, game fixes, but also includes some new features which will allow players to add more character to their settlements.
For the features, there’s been additional art customization added to the Workshop, such as:
- The oh-so-lovely sight of Super Mutant clutter, such as meat totems, meat bags, and meat carts
- Raider clutter, complete with poles, cages, and tents
- Abstract and portrait paintings, if you want to refine the Wasteland a bit
- A variety of new signs to put up
- And new metal and wood door variants
As for fixes, as usual there have been some overall stability and performance improvements. More specifically Bethesda has:
- Resolved the issue during ‘Rocket’s Red Glare’ where companions couldn’t be dismissed afterward
- Fixed the issue with the ‘Kremvh’s Tooth’ quest not spawning properly
- Settlements under attack will now display updated messages with attack results if the player doesn’t respond
- Fixed Rank 4 of the Demolition Expert Perk so it actually increases the area effect of explosives now
- Fixed the issue with the Sandman and Ninja Perks combining and then applying the incorrect damage bonus
- Fixed the keycards not spawning correctly in Vault 75
- Fixed the Pip-Boy getting stuck when in switching weapons quickly whilst wearing Power Armor and in first-person
- Fixed the persistent quicksave and autosave messages during loading screens
- Fixed the issue where scrapping large quantities of a single item would inadvertently scrap a legendary item
- Fixed it to where The Scribe can be properly assigned consecutive settlements
- Fixed vendors not properly exchanging caps after several transactions in a row
- On Xbox One, fixed the issue where updating with the latest patch would cause the Options settings to reset to default.
