Ubisoft have officially pulled back the curtain to reveal the next installment in the Far Cry franchise, just a day after it was leaked by IGN Turky.
Far Cry Primal is a spin-off game, much in the vein of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon—a piece of standalone DLC built on the main game’s engine. Set during the Stone Age, Primal will have you playing as Takkar, a hunter who has become stranded in a valley formerly covered with ice called Oros.
The game is set to play out as most other first-person action games, with the player using period-appropriate weapons like spears, clubs, and bows, instead of the modern firearms the Far Cry series has previously featured.
Far Cry Primal is slated to release on 23rd February 2016 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC version coming sometime in March.
