Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star

The Nintendo Switch is gaining a new JRPG, Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star! Announced in today’s Nintendo Direct video, this game will include many of the beloved Fate characters. The servants, also known as Heroic Spirits, are summoned by the Holy Grail and make pacts with their masters. The Heroic Spirits are pulled from various points in history and find the purpose to fight against one another. Servants from Fate/EXTRA and Fate/Stay Night as well as Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/Grand Order and other Fate stories will also be in The Umbral Star.

Original Japanese voices with English subtitles will allow players to experience the story of Umbral Star. Players will be able to take control of a Servant and use their powers to engage in battle.

With the Switch version of the game, players will have 35 extra costumes that were originally paid DLC. Plus, the Switch version will also have an exclusive new Unshackled Bride outfit. Not only will players have fun with the intense battles expected by the Fate series, but they will also enjoy a deep storyline. Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star from Marvelous USA is expected to be released in North America on July 25, 2017.
