Microsoft has announced the February 2018 Games with Gold lineup. Four free games will be available including an Assassin’s Creed game and a Dreamcast classic. For Xbox One, Shadow Warrior will be available throughout the month of February. From February 16 to March 15 Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is free to add. As for Xbox 360 owners, Split/Second is available for the first half of the month. As for the second half of February, Crazy Taxi is available from February 16 through the 28th.
Shadow Warrior is a 2013 first-person action-adventure game which follows a modern ninja warrior fighting through hoards of demons. The game received mostly average to slightly positive reviews. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a side-scrolling adventure game set in the Assassin’s Creed universe. It received generally average reviews.
Split/Second is a racing game which combines real-life cars and adds in power-ups you would see in a kart racer. On top of this, you are surrounded by destructive environments that alter the track as you go. The game received mostly positive reviews. From personal experience, I think this game went under the radar. While it may not have been a commercial success if you have an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One, I recommend this game if you’re into racing games.
As for Crazy Taxi, get this if you haven’t played it… It’s a classic. So play this game if you haven’t already.
The 360 games are available for Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. Also, you have a little time to still pick up a few of January’s Games With Gold.
