After releasing a short teaser clip last week, Rovio officially announced today that they have partnered with Lucasfilm Ltd. in order to make Angry Birds Star Wars. The game is set to release on November 8th for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, Mac, PC, Windows 8, and Windows Phone.
The game will feature settings taken straight from the movie, including Tatooine and the Death Star, the latter of which is made to look like one of the pigs.
Peter Vesterbacka has said that the game will feature “all-new cutting-edge gameplay”, but wouldn’t elaborate further than that.
Also, since it’s Star Wars related you will be absolutely unsurprised to find out that there will be a plethora of physical merchandise available. Starting on October 28th you will be able to purchase Halloween costumes, apparel, action figures, plush toys, and more.
