Film Fallout Podcast #13 – Hush and The Invitation

The Invitation

Christopher Cross is gone away for the week, but never fear, Dylan Schwan and him managed to record a podcast on two thrillers that have been getting some buzz recently. The first film we review is Hush, a thriller about a deaf woman who is being hunted in her own home. From the director of Oculus, Mike Flanagan, this film has intriguing premise, but does it get beyond that stage? Does it need to go beyond that?

There are some blu-ray releases, but then we talk about The Invitation from Karyn Kusama who previously directed Jennifer’s Body. This thriller has been getting a lot of attention and is one of Alamo Drafthouse’s newest releases, so we took a look to see whether the hype is real or if this is just another creepy, conventional thriller.

Next week, we will be back with a review of Captain America: Civil War, because of course we will. However, we’re hoping to get something out on Green Room at some point as well, so watch out for that.

Listen to the podcast below and let us know what you thought of the two movies in the comments:
