After two weeks straight of no podcasts (we recorded them, I swear!) Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan return with a review of Star Trek Beyond. Directed by the one and only Justin Lin, the two discuss how Lin’s sensibilities were adapted for a science fiction franchise, as well as how great Karl Urban is.
Because we did talk about two weeks worth of movies and didn’t get to share our thoughts on any of them, we quickly recapped everything from The Secret Life of Pets to Wiener-Dog to the controversial Ghostbusters. So listen to us quickly go through a bevy of films and the Netflix show Stranger Things before we get to the big review of the week. There are also blu-ray releases, which Dylan recaps weekly, and we talk about a lot of Comic-Con news.
Next week, we will be back to review Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon’s return to the Bourne franchise with Jason Bourne.
