Film Fallout Podcast #34 – The Greasy Accountant

The Accountant

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan return this week with a look at how an autistic assassin manages to hold down his life with accounting. Yes, The Accountant is finally out and we discuss the probability of Ben Affleck becoming the next action star, the absurdity of it all, and why we’re not opposed to a sequel to this film. Directed by Gavin O’Connor and starring Affleck, JK Simmons, Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, John Lithgow and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, this was a fun movie to review as we kind of expected.

However, Dylan also went ahead and watched The Greasy Strangler, which is available on VOD now. It’s absurd, but in a much more grandiose and eccentric way. There’s also some news to get through and Blu-ray releases, including Criterion’s release of Pan’s Labyrinth from Guillermo del Toro. Exciting times for a Blu-ray fan.

Next week, we will return with a look at Jack Reacher: Never Go Back because Chris demands it.
