Film Fallout Podcast #35 – Jack Reacher in Trumpland

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan take a quick look at the new Jack Reacher film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The first was surprisingly decent. Does this second one hold up? Well, we talk about the lack of star power in the second film versus the first, why Tom Cruise can still seem tough when he’s super short, and whether Cobie Smulders is actually a good actress.

The good news is that Dylan spends some time going through the third season of Black Mirror, picks out his favourite episodes, why Black Mirror is such a huge hit, and why it’s important to not be bleak all the time. He also visits Michael Moore in Trumpland, and lets us know if the surprise release of the film is worth seeing and if it is a time-sensitive watch.

Besides that, there’s the usual blu-ray releases (not much this week), and Dylan has news on the new Logan trailer, Deadpool 2‘s director leaving, and why a Game of Thrones crossover in Westworld would be dumb. Next week we’re taking a break from the cinema and watching Klown Forever, a film that we have been waiting to see for a while and is on VOD.
