Film Fallout Podcast #37.5 – Let’s Talk About VIFF 2016

Manchester by the Sea

The Vancouver International Film Festival happened last month and we’ve been holding onto a podcast about VIFF 2016 for a couple weeks now. We discussed the Toronto International Film Festival recently, and now it’s only fair that we discuss the west coast version. Dylan Schwan attended the festival this year, and Christopher Cross moderates the podcast which features some Oscar hopefuls and some interesting and fun new films from esteemed directors. The full list of films (with reviews linked) are below:

Toni Erdmann (dir. Maren Ade)
Endless Poetry (dir. Alejandro Jodorowsky)
The Birth of a Nation (dir. Nate Parker)
In a Valley of Violence (dir. Ti West)
Elle (dir. Paul Verhoeven)
American Honey (dir. Andrea Arnold)
