Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan return to the scene of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to perform surgery on Doctor Strange, the fourteenth film in the MCU. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen and Rachel McAdams. We discuss the whitewashing controversy, how much it matters to have a distinct style in the MCU, and how we would rank the superhero movies that have come out this year.
Chris actually saw movies this week. He saw Before the Flood, the new documentary from Fisher Stevens and starring Leonardo DiCaprio as he tries to make sense of this whole climate change thing. He also discuss the movie Three, from acclaimed director Johnnie To. Dylan is in the midst of watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which he talks about why he is enjoying a musical show.
