Film Fallout Podcast #6 – 10 Cloverfield Lane

10 Cloverfield Lane

Locked in a bunker, presumably because the rest of the world is dying off at a rapid rate, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are forced to do nothing but talk to each other for another week. This time, it’s about 10 Cloverfield Lane, the sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield. Directed by Dan Tractenberg, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher Jr. Some points of discussion are: does this work as a sequel to Cloverfield? Can John Goodman ever not be great? Why does Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s character remind them of You’re Next?

Chris also saw Kill Your Friends, from Owen Harris who previously directed the movie about Sam Houser of Grand Theft Auto fame –The Gamechangers. Dylan goes back into the vault and discusses why Erin Brockovich is still great and maintains that Julia Roberts is a great actress. There is also discussion of some news that has happened over the past week, including a new way to possibly watch films currently in theaters but at home. There are also a slew of Blu-ray releases that have been released, most notably BrooklynCarol, and The Big Short.

Listen to the podcast below and tune in next week when both The Little Prince and Man of Steel are discussed:
