Film Fallout Podcast #70 – The Beguiled Baby Driver

Baby Driver

That’s why we’re outta here, Baby! Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan hightailed it to the theater to watch Baby Driver this week from the esteemed Edgar Wright. Find out what we thought of the new movie from its soundtrack, to its action, to the casting of Ansel Elgort in the lead role. We definitely have our disagreements this episode and Baby Driver is one of them.

On top of that, we watched Sofia Coppola’s latest film, The Beguiled, as well as Bong Joon-ho’s Okja. And finally, Dylan can talk about The Big Sick, which he also wrote a review. There’s plenty to see this week, and if you need a family film, Dylan tells all about Despicable Me 3 and whether you should take your family for Gru’s third outing with the minions.

As usual, lots of news this week but it’s not a great week for Blu-rays. Our pick of the week is Song to Song, but even that lacks any significant special features to warrant a purchase unless you’re a big Terrence Malick fan. Next week will hopefully be looking up, but even if it isn’t, we’ll have a big review of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
