Film Fallout Podcast #90 – The Disaster Artist is as Old as You

The Disaster Artist

Chris and Dylan are fed up with not finding anyone willing to hire them as podcasters, so instead they made their own podcast and it’s obviously going to work out really well and we’ll all have excellent careers in Podcastland. In this episode, they discuss James Franco’s The Disaster Artist – a movie about the making of the “best worst movie” from two actors fed up with not getting any roles in Hollywood and decided to make their own movie to give themselves roles. Listen to us baffled at James Franco making a good movie and also being the best part of a movie.

We didn’t watch much in terms of new releases this week, but there’s plenty of news and Chris does manage to fit in some time to talk about Girls Trip while Dylan reminds us all to revisit Batman Returns. And then of course we have our Blu-rays including the crazy 100 years of Olympics Criterion boxset.

Next week, tune in for our review of either The Shape of Water or Darkest Hour, depending on which one opens in Vancouver and Toronto.

Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television, hosted on BagoGames.com. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloudiTunes, or on BagoGames. Also follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter, if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’d like to ‘like’ us on that.
