Film Fallout Podcast #96 – The Polka Paradox

The Cloverfield Paradox

The Superbowl is over, but that doesn’t mean that we’re done talking about it. Surprisingly pretty much everyone was talking about the announcement, and subsequent release of, The Cloverfield Paradox on Netflix. So instead of reviewing The Polka King, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan took aim at the latest entry in the Cloverfield franchise. How does it tie into the previous films? Is it okay that the movie doesn’t explain a lot? Would it have done well with a traditional theatrical release? The Cloverfield Paradox asks a lot of questions and we do our best to tackle them.

But don’t worry, Chris still saw The Polka King so we discuss that. He also saw Jason Momoa’s latest film, Braven, and Dylan finally got to watch The Work. So there are plenty of movies to talk about. We also cover a lot of the Superbowl trailers, and Uma Thurman’s frightening Tarantino experience; as well as the usual Blu-ray releases, including our pick of the week: Elevator to the Gallows.

We aren’t quite sure what we’re going to review next week but expect at least some Fifty Shades Freed talk.

Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television, hosted on BagoGames.com. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, Blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloudiTunes, or on BagoGames. Also, follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’ want to ‘like’ us on that.
