Square Enix has confirmed on the Final Fantasy Facebook page that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has shipped over 1 million copies worldwide today.
The company has thanked the fans for buying and playing the game. This announcement may be signifying that the game has been successful for Square Enix.
A sequel titled Type Next is being planned for development, but Square Enix under the same post has affirmed that the game has no official release planned for the West.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD included the demo for Final Fantasy XV, which may have been a contributor to its sales.
Final Fantasy Type-0 was previously a PSP game released in 2011 exclusively in Japan, but the HD version on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One became available worldwide in March 2015.
