If you have been following the site, you would have seen last weeks announcement regarding Square Enix’s PlayStation 3 exclusive title Final Fantasy Versus XIII rumored to be canceled.
Since its no show at this years E3, people began to wonder what development hell that the game is in. We reached out to Sony and Square for comment on this, but their response like always was. “We don’t comment on rumors!”
Speaking today via Twitter. Yoichi Wada said.
“There’s someone making a false rumour that Versus was cancelled,” he said. “Haha… just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended. If you saw the presentation of the city, it’d knock you off your feet – lol.”
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was announced at E3 back in 2006. Since that announcement, Square have put out Final Fantasy XIII, FFXIII-2, PSP game FF Type-O and Final Fantasy XIV. Also, if new rumors are to be believed, there will be a follow up to FFXIII-2 with an announcement to come in September that will shed more light on these events.
