Square Enix have released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV during Gamescom.
The trailer gives a look at 15 years prior to Final Fantasy XV‘s main story as King Regis struggles with his nation’s relations with neighbor Niflheim.
Noctis, in current day, is shocked after a surprise attack by Niflheim occurs while he is away. There were also reports that his father (King Regis) is dead. This occurred due to a fake peace agreement between the two nations for the marriage of Noctis and Lady Lunafreya, who is also presumed dead. In result, the Lucian shield was lowered and were able to take the city and the sacred crystal. He hears about it while en route to the marriage alongside his comrades on the road, and now Noctis and his companions must fend off the Niflheim soldiers.
Final Fantasy XV currently has no release date. The game is set to be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
