Final Fantasy XV Is Planned To Be Released In 2016

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has confirmed to GameSpot that Final Fantasy XV will not be coming this year, but it will be releasing before 2017. Therefore, the game is planned to be released in 2016.

During an interview with GameSpot, Tabata said that “We can certainly say to people: [the release date]’s not going to be 2017. It’s going to be before that.” He has also said to GameSpot, “At the very least, I can tell you that it isn’t going to be released this year.”

More news about when they’re going to be revealing the release date is expected to be around PAX Prime, according to Tabata during GameSpot’s interview. PAX Prime will take place between August 28th-31st.

Square Enix previously released a trailer for the game during Gamescom, which gives viewers a look into the backstory of Final Fantasy XV.
