During the final video presentation for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, a new Fire Emblem character was announced.
Corrin, also known as Kamui in his Japanese form, from Fire Emblem Fates will be available as DLC for both the Wii U and 3DS editions. Just like Robin, Corrin’s male and female options will be playable. If purchasing Corrin for the Wii U edition, two songs for SSB will be included. If purchasing the 3DS DLC of Corrin, two 3DS-exclusive trophies will be included.
Corrin’s sword is called Yato and it offers a wide range of attacks that will do considerable damage. Since Corrin has dragon’s blood flowing through his/her veins, Corrin can become a dragon or change parts of his/her body into a dragon’s after meeting certain requirements. Corrin’s Final Smash is the Whirl of Water which will send opponents into a air-born whirlpool. Corrin will be available as SSB DLC on the Nintendo eShop sometime in February 2016. Fire Emblem Fates for the 3DS will be released in North America on February 19, 2016.
