Firefly Star Joins the Gang in Gotham

<p>FOX has found Serenity again on the streets of <em>Gotham<&sol;em> with one of Captain Reynold&&num;8217&semi;s own&period; Dr&period; Leslie Thompkins is the latest character to join the show early next year and will be played by none other than <em>Firefly <&sol;em>and <em>Stargate SG1&&num;8217&semi;s<&sol;em> Morena Baccarin&period; The actress returns to the network more than a decade after Joss Whedon&&num;8217&semi;s cult-classic ended after a 14-episode run&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Deadline describes Thompkins as &&num;8220&semi;a gifted and dedicated physician&&num;8221&semi; as well as a friend of Bruce Wayne’s parents&comma; Thomas and Martha as she was developed back in the 1970s as a surrogate mother figure to the man that would become Batman&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;She is determined to use her skills to aid Gotham’s most in need&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Deadline continues&comma; &&num;8220&semi;which currently means working at the newly opened Arkham Asylum’s Home for the Criminally Insane&period; In addition to her medical skills&comma; her coolness under pressure will serve her well as she finds herself drawn close to James Gordon and into more and more dangerous waters&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>That no doubt goes without saying following last week&&num;8217&semi;s <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;first-bloodgotham-arkham-review&sol;">reveal of the infamous super-villain hotspot<&sol;a>&comma; which we thought was rather good&period; Baccarin also joins Nicholas D&&num;8217&semi;Agosto&&num;8217&semi;s Harvey Dent&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>FOX&&num;8217&semi;s <em>Gotham<&sol;em> airs Monday nights at 8&sol;7 central and just recently <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;gotham-gets-full-season-fox&sol;">landed itself a full season<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Via<&sol;strong> <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;insidetv&period;ew&period;com&sol;2014&sol;10&sol;22&sol;gotham-morena-baccarin&sol;">EW<&sol;a>&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;slashfilm&period;com&sol;morena-baccarin-gotham&sol;">&sol;Film<&sol;a>&comma; &amp&semi; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;deadline&period;com&sol;2014&sol;10&sol;morena-baccarin-cast-gotham-857628&sol;">Deadline<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
