First Fallout 4 Add-Ons Detailed, Season Pass Price Increasing

Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop

Fallout 4 launched back in November and has had as huge a reception as expected from the long-awaited Bethesda RPG. Those who are getting tired of the game’s initial content can look forward to some new add-ons that have been detailed by Bethesda. Ranging in detail and scope, these add-ons will launch one-at-a-time starting in March, with another one to follow in April and then May. These new add-ons will be included in the season pass which will be raising in price from $29.99 USD to $49.99 USD on March 1st, 2016. Players who have already purchased the season pass before March 1st will receive everything at no additional cost.

The reason for the season pass price increase stems from an increase in content coming in 2016. There will be upwards of $60 worth of content added to the game, so the costs for the season pass will also have to increase. You can find out more about the upcoming add-ons below.

The first piece of downloadable content will be $9.99 USD and will be entitled Automatron. This content will offer players the chance to have their very own robot companion built from the remains of robots they destroy. The Mechanist has released a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, and players will have to destroy them. The type of customization available in this DLC includes “mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun” and you can also paint your robot different colors or change its voice.

In April 2016, begin your own twisted version of a wasteland experience with the ability to design cages to capture live creatures. Wasteland Workshop will be priced at $4.99 USD and let players tame the creatures they capture or have them battle each other in battle. If you really want to, you can also put them against fellow settlers, depending on how sadistic you really are. The real question is whether this will make settlement happiness go up or down, right? There will also be new design option for your settlements, including taxidermy and letter kits.

The largest piece of content that has been detailed is called Far Harbor and will mark the return of Valentine’s Detective Agency. For $24.99 USD, players can take on a new case involving a missing woman a secret colony of synths. Coming in May, this add-on will feature a new location off of the coast of Maine that has heavy radiation causing many of the creatures on the island to become feral. According to Bethesda, this is the largest landmass they have created for an add-on, and will be filled with new quests for factions, settlements, creatures and dungeons. What is also exciting is that it will bring the Children of Atom more heavily into the plot as players engage in a conflict between them, the synths, and the townspeople.

If any of these add-ons interest you and you can’t wait to play them, Bethesda will also be running closed beta tests for them on consoles and PC. You can sign up for the beta at Bethesda.net.
