Variance Films has just released a trailer for the upcoming film, Video Games: The Movie. This feature length documentary follows the meteoric rise of the video game from its beginnings in the arcade to the multi billion dollar industry that it is today. The film features interviews with several key figures including Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski and the founder of Atari, Nolan Bushnell. It is directed by Jeremy Snead and has Scrubs’ star Zach Braff as its executive producer.
Video Games: The Movie is out in North American theatres on July 18. It will also be available on various digital platforms such as iTunes on the same day.
