Free cinema tickets for early purchasers of Star Trek: The Video Game

Namco Bandai and Paramount Pictures have announced they are giving away complimentary tickets for the upcoming cinematic sequel Star Trek Into Darkness to those who pre-order Star Trek: The Video Game or purchase a copy on its day of release via the Game chain of stores in the United Kingdom.

The offer covers all versions of the multi-format game and will see each buyer receive one free ticket to see Star Trek Into Darkness, which is scheduled for release in cinemas in May. People who pre-order or purchase the game on release day will receive a unique code which can then be redeemed online, the reward consisting of one adult ticket valid at any Cineworld cinema in the country.

According to the press release, this promotion will run as long as “ticket allocation and box office remains”, and a pre-order is “guaranteed to secure your free ticket.” Also, at some point Namco Bandai and Game will select one special winner to receive “VIP, red-carpet treatment to a future Paramount Pictures UK Premiere including 5 star accommodation.”

Developed by Digital Extremes and featuring an original story written by BAFTA award-winning writer Marianne Krawczyk, Star Trek: The Video Game is a co-op-focused experience, giving two players the opportunity to team up as Kirk and Spock.

Star Trek: The Video Game is scheduled for release in the UK & EU on 26th April on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
