Can This Makeup For The Wii-U Title?

Mario Tennis: Aces is looking to reinvigorate Mario Tennis after the bare bones Wii-U entry by adding new modes, mechanics, and characters to the series (including a chain-chomp with a racquet in its mouth). Though Nintendo is holding this demo primarily as a stress test for their internet services, there seems to be plenty of game to play. Players will be able to play against the CPU to practice their moves with Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser. Players may also compete in the stress test tournament against other players around the world. Participants in the tournament will receive a special free outfit in the full game. The game also includes a story mode.

Players will ultimately have more than fifteen characters to play as. Aside from the obvious Mario and Luigi, players will be able to choose from Wario, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Toad, Toadette, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Boo, Spike, Donkey Kong and the newly playable Chomp Chain. Sadly there will be no Waluigi until the full game. There are also a number of unique courts. These include Bask Ruins, Piranha Plant Forest, Mirage Mansion, and Marina Stadium.

Mario Tennis: Aces releases in full later this Month on June 22nd, 2018.
