Earlier this month, Sony announced that they were localising the action RPG Freedom Wars for the Western markets, but that it was going to only offer digital copies of the game. Since the announcement, fans have been using emails and social media to demand a retail release as well. It seems that Sony have been listening to these requests and have responded positively. Today they confirmed that they will be offering physical copies of Freedom Wars as well as digital copies.
Freedom Wars is a PS Vita exclusive developed by Sony’s Japan Studio. The game offers both online and offline multiplayer for up to eight people at a time. It released in Japan on June 26 to high critical praise and sold over 188,000 units in it’s first week. Although there is no solid release date we do know that Freedom Wars will hit European and North American shores later this year.
