<p><a href="http://www.funimation.com/blog/"><strong>FUNimation Entertainment</strong></a> announced the purchase of US rights to distribute the anime film<em> The Boy and the Beast</em>. From the directer, Mamoru Hosoda comes the story of two worlds that must never intertwine: the human world and the bakemono world. (Bakemono are a subclass of yokai in Japanese lore, their name means a thing that changes). But a lonely boy becomes lost in the world of the bakemono and becomes a disciple of the lonely Kumatetsu.</p>
<p>FUNimation plans on releasing <em>The Boy and the Beast</em> in select theaters in late 2015 and hopes to release it nationwide in 2016.</p>
